A Day on the Water with Mikey
The Kenai River is recognized globally as one of the premier native Rainbow Trout fisheries on the planet. During the late summer and autumn salmon spawning runs, massive wild rainbows gorge on drifting salmon eggs and flesh, swelling to football-like proportions. Our full-day trophy trout charters use carefully weighted bead rigs, flesh flies, and streamers fished through fast riffles and holding seams. We practice strict, gentle catch-and-release handling to preserve these magnificent wild fish.
✦ Peak Run Timing
August – October (Egg Drop) offers the strongest concentrations of active biting fish.
✦ Private Boat Charter
Never crowded. 1 to 4 anglers per charter guarantees maximum river coverage and individual coaching.
